Dave is a visionary entrepreneur with decades of experience building and scaling healthcare technology ventures, most recently founding SmileShape to develop an AI-powered platform that streamlines dental prosthetic design and delivery. Dave’s passion for pushing boundaries at the intersection of healthcare and digital innovation, provides SmileShape with the intensity and empathetic leadership needed to achieve extraordinary outcomes.

previously built and scaled engineering teams (growing a startup from zero to 200+
employees) and has FAANG experience. Kody is uniquely qualified to lead the all star tech team at SmileShape.

Dr. Orhan Akal

Renowned AI and machine learning expert
specializing in dental imaging. Dr. Akal holds a PhD in Applied and Computational
Mathematics and is a highly valued AI and machine learning expert specializing in dental
imaging. He led the development of Overjet’s FDA-cleared dental AI models that
successfully detect cavities and periodontal disease, demonstrating a proven track record of
delivering clinically validated, production-grade AI solutions.

Anupama Santhosh

Accomplished ML engineer and strategist with nearly a decade of hands-on experience in healthcare AI. She combines deep technical expertise with executive-level insight and a
